As unresolved issues arising from the Pacific War continue to hinder efforts at reconciliation in the region, academically-based research centers and non-governmental organizations have engaged in various efforts to better understand the nature of the issues and to wrestle with appropriate ways to resolve still-festering problems.  Below descriptions are offered of, and links to, the various research institutions and national and international non-governmental organizations (NGOs/INGOs) engaged with the issues of memory and reconciliation in the Asia-Pacific, as well as information about more specific educational programs targeted at exploring such themes in more detail.  If there are organizations or programs that are not listed, please contact us with your suggestion.
