Yahoo: “China sought to bolster its claims to the disputed Diaoyu Islands in the East China Sea on Saturday by opening an online “museum” of newspaper clippings and other items related to the issue.”
Japan Times: “The Chinese Foreign Ministry has lambasted Tokyo’s protest against Beijing’s creation of a digital museum laying out its claims to a group of Japanese-administered islets in the East China Sea, called the Senkakus in Japan.”
South China Morning Post: “In the midst of current tensions between China and Japan in the East China Sea, a Chinese academic said Beijing wanted Tokyo to know it was intent on reducing its naval presence in the area earlier this year – an olive branch that was summarily snapped when right-wing forces in Japan hired fishing boats to go into the disputed waters, resulting in skirmishes between the two sides.
